It was last MoT'd and serviced in 2017 at 45,336 miles although it would appear that it had not been on the road since the early 2000's. The vendor advises that it was examined by a mechanic during November 2024 when the engine turned over, the electrics appeared to work and fuel was being pumped to the twin carburettors. Since arrival at the auction, we have started the Triumph which is now running and driving but recommissioning is required. A renovation in 2024 costing £6700 with marque specialist G&D Auto Services saw a full service with all oils and filters replaced, the brakes done including discs, pads and new handbrake pads, the rear axle removed, new pin kit and rear trailing arms done. There was also work on the fuel system, with the fuel tank removed and cleaned, a new pump and filter, flushed-out feed and return lines, Marelli injection module replaced, 12 fuel injectors fitted along with 12 spark plugs and a new distributor cap, rotor arm and injection leads done. In addition the wheels were refurbished with new tyres and new headlining fitted. The vendor tells us that it is an honest car and that he can guarantee the low mileage showing of 48,410 miles. It runs and drives well and he is unaware of any issues. The car was registered in January 1993 and has had three registered keepers since then. In 1977, the car also gained a raised roofline to improve headroom, with the roof often clothed in vinyl to denote the model's more luxurious status. This smart-looking 2499cc automatic transmission example, registered in January 1986, was in the hands of a Citroën specialist owner for 24 years. During the 1990s, it regularly picked up trophies and certificates at various Citroën Car Club events - which are still present with the car - but was taken off the road in 2008, albeit still regularly run. It was recommissioned during 2021 by marque specialist Pleaides with six new spheres, water pump, battery, temperature switch, engine oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter and spark plugs. The hydraulic pipes were also checked over. After detailing, the car went to the 2021 Citroën Car Club National Rally where it was awarded the prize for the best CX at the show. Sold at an ACA sale in November 2021, the new owner had over £5000 of work done from 2022 to 2024 plus four Michelin TRX metric tyres (at a cost of £1300). The car is in very good condition inside and out, although the vendor notes the headlining sagging a little over the driver's seat, there's some loose fabric trim on the offside rear D-pillar inside and the air conditioning not currently functioning. Make & Model: Talbot, Horizon LS Date of Reg: A922BJB Colour: Blue cc: 1442 Fuel Type: Petrol Mileage: 32962 Transmission: automatic Summary: Registered in April 1984, this Baltic Blue Talbot Horizon LS is a rare automatic example, possibly the only automatic LS ever made according to the vendor. Only around 60 Horizons are now left on UK roads according to the representative club. It was previously owned by a Talbot enthusiast who looked after it well, but has been out of use for a year although the vendor doesn't know of any faults and it does run and drive. The 1442cc car is showing 32,962 miles on its odometer, which is believed genuine as the car was unused for around 15 years. Its last MoT expired in August 2023. However, as from April of 2025, the Talbot will be able to be registered as an historic vehicle and be tax- and MoT-exempt. Five registered keepers are noted on the V5C. The car was originally used by Talbot as a test-bed for power steering, so has it fitted - something that wasn't an option on other LS variants. The history folder includes the V5C, some invoices, sales brochures, a magazine feature and even a copy of the programme from the Peugeot Talbot Games at Crystal Palace in July 1984! There are MoT certificates dating from 2006, 2008, 2009, 2021 and 2022 plus the owner's handbook and service book, which is stamped up to 3391 miles in April 1988.

The suspension is also adjustable. there's been a balljoint front conversion, lightweight front hubs and heavy duty stub axle. It received a full restoration between 2015 and 2019. The car was featured in a six-page article in the December 2023 issue of Practical Classics magazine plus was included on the front cover. The Triumph was registered in December 1973 and has an MoT valid until July 2025 although, as an historic vehicle, it is exempt from MoT testing. The electronic odometer shows 1402 miles. Recent work has seen an oil and filter change plus MX-5 seats installed. Paperwork includes the V5C, MoT certificates, a notebook listing the modifications and parts used, invoices and the copy of Practical Classics magazine with the car in it. There's also the two sets of keys,a fob and coded pouch for the immobiliser.

Its MoT is valid until September 1998 and its odometer reads 159,100 miles. The vendor acquired the car in December 2023 from a friend who runs a car bodyshop. He bought it in 2007 and spent over £5000 on maintenance, including a new cambelt at 147,000 miles. Since our vendor bought it, he has covered around 10,000 miles on trips around the UK and spent around £3000 on it. The car is reported as running and driving well, with 25-28mpg achievable, although the vendor notes that the front electric headrests don't work (but can be adjusted manually), the electric aerial isn't functioning and there's an oil leak noted as an MoT advisory (Gaskets have been changed but the leak persists). An advisory on the most recent MoT for the SRS light not showing has since been fixed though with the bulb replaced and front passenger occupancy sensor fault fixed. The alarm sometimes goes off unexpectedly, so the vendor notes that it is probably best to disable the sensors when locking the car. The air conditioning is noted as working and blowing cold. A replacement Blaupunkt stereo with Bluetooth has been fitted but the original Audi cassette radio is in the boot. Last year saw a full service including coolant, brake fluid, gearbox and rear differential changed, along with a nearside front wheel bearing and new front drop links. Paperwork includes the V5C, MoT certificates, invoices back to 2007 and the book pack with owner's handbook, original radio instructions and replacement Blaupunkt instructions, leather care guide, Audi navigation instructions and dealership map. There's also the service book stamped up to 127,552 miles in September 2009. There is a spare key as well, which opens the door but hasn't been coded to the immobiliser.
